Mathematics

The children are introduced to mathematical concepts through experiential action. Everyday materials, improvised games, cookery sessions, posters and cards are put to use to highlight the need of each mathematical concept and to appropriate knowledge.

The consolidation of these concepts is slowly pursued through understanding them, through the oral and written mastering of the operations’ mechanisms and the solving of problems based on a common methodology for all grades.

The school textbook is used as an ancillary material, as the lessons are enriched with material specifically tailored to the educational needs of each grade.
