The spoken and the written word

In our Preschool, speech, whether in its oral or its written form, is the central point of the educational process and each of these aspects is developed. Great emphasis is put on connecting the spoken to the written word, as well as on their use for communicating. The children participate in linguistic activities that enable them to effectively organise and enrich the language structures they use. At the same time, they interact with different aspects of the written word and different text genres, are actively involved in them, perceive the written word’s conventions experientially and use writing as a means of expression of an emerging need to communicate.
