In the Hill School, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has been taught since 1995 in the context of the “Exploration” programme. During the “Exploration” classes, computers are not considered simply as another cognitive subject; rather, it functions as a means of experimentation, of expressing ideas, and also as a tool for communicating and seeking information. By adopting the investigative teaching method and thanks to a variety of creative interdisciplinary activities, the children get to know computers, acquire information management skills, formulate assumptions, and examine and solve problems with their help.
